Eugene & I went to Disney in early December. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside & that is a really pretty resort. The landscaping is beautiful & they even had a boat you could ride from the resort to downtown Disney.

Monday morning found us at Magic Kingdom at rope drop. Was a warm day & I wore flip flops & short sleeves. Texas was cold when we left & the weather was awesome. We rode everything we wanted to, saw both parades & watched the fireworks. Had lunch at Cosmic Ray’s & for a snack later we had a dole whip float…yummy!

After the fireworks we rode the monorail to the Poly. & ate supper at Ohana. We love that meal! Everything is so good & it is a fun restaurant to eat at.

Tuesday morning we were at Epcot when they opened for another full day. Another warm day…flip flops…am loving that. We rode soaring, test track & others till lunch & headed to the World Showcase. We never made it back to the front part of Epcot that day as we had too much fun wandering around the Countries.
These are from the Living with the Land ride. I really like this one & we ended up riding it several times.

We decided to eat at Tangerine grill in Morocco. This was a counter service meal…thankfully not a restaurant. It was horrible! The only icky meal of the trip. We spent the next few hours hoping it stayed down! I think it is the odd spices they use in cooking that turned us off…or it could be eating lamb as well as chicken.

After our lunch we wandering around the World. We listened to the Canada group several times & the United Kingdom one. Then we listened to the ones in America. They were all real good.

The Japanese candy artist was awesome!! We ended up watching her at least 4 times during our visits here. Wanted to see her again friday but was off that day. She takes a gob of candy & stretched it kind of like taffy & puts it on a stick & just a minute or two she turns it into any animal or bird someone asks her to do & then paints it. Giraffes, bears, birds of all types…in about 10 -15 minutes she made about 8 kinds. It was so neat.

Our day was winding down & our energy as well so we headed to Mexico to eat at the San Angel Inn. Eugene had steak & I had chicken. The meal was good & dessert a vanilla cream mousse w/ berries was tops. Is such a neat place to eat as the restaurant is so pretty.

We went during free dining so every day we got to eat at a restaurant, a counter meal place & get a snack free. I love it as you get to pick anything on the menu & not watch prices. You get a entree, dessert & drink at the restaurants & pay only if you get extras like soup or a salad. We saved over $700. on eats. Of course if it wasn’t free dining we wouldn’t of ate like that all week!!
Wednesday was another full day as we kind of bounced around all day. We started out at Hollywood Studios & stayed till lunch.

We rode Toy Story Mania first & fastpassed so to ride it again later. This is the best ride at this park for sure!

We saw Beauty & the Beast.

After Tower & Terror & a few other things to see we were off to Downtown Disney for lunch. We ate at Wolfgang Puck Express which is just called a counter service meal. It was so good. Salads, sandwiches or regular type meals, REAL iced tea & desserts that were unreal! We loved it & ate here another time also.
After eating we shopped & then rode the boat back to our resort. The boatride was really nice & enjoyable.

After resting a few hours at the resort we went back to HS & rode Toy Story again & saw the dancing lights & snow. The we went to Animal Kingdom Lodge for supper at Boma..”Favors of Africa”. This was another great meal. Was quite different from anything we’d ate before but was good. Was neat to see this resort too. After our meal we hopped the bus back to DTD & rode the boat back to our resort.

Thursday morning started out beautiful & warm. We walked along the river from Port Orleans Riverside to the French Quarters. Wanted to see what this resort looked like & eat beignets.

My plans today were to dress up abit, for us a white shirt w/ nicer denim is dressy, & find some photographers around the World after we eat lunch at LeCellier Steakhouse. SO…we arrive at Epcot about an hour before lunch & a cold spell blows in & it pours!! The rain did clear out but it stayed cold.
Here we are at LeCellier Steakhouse in Canada. I tried for months online to finally get this reservation. It was totally delicious! The cheese soup, filet, bread sticks & dessert were tops.

Then we wandered around the World & listened to music & took photos till we froze out & went back to our resort to rest abit & thaw out.

That night we went to Magic from 7 till midnight. We rode rides, watched 2 neat parades & the fireworks. Ate lots of sugar cookies & drank hot cocoa & apple cider. Saw the snow on main street & it felt cool enough for it. Was lots of fun!

Friday plans were to eat out breakfast at Kona Cafe…but we slept in instead! Then we went to DTD for abit of shopping & ate at Wolfgang Puck Express for lunch. Yummy BQ chicken salad!
Then that afternoon we went back to Epcot. We rode the rides we hadn’t done yet & headed back to the World Showcase again. Had snacks from the Norway bakery again today & they were really good.

We ate supper at Coral Reef & were very impressed. We both had a salad, steak & taters, & yummy desserts. Was neat to sit by the huge aquariums & watch the fish & stingrays & sharks. Saw the divers a few times too.

Saturday our last day arrived. We checked out & put our bags on hold & headed to Animal Kingdom for the day. I love AK… is like a huge safari – zoo.

We ate breakfast at Tusker House Animal Safari Breakfast. It was so good & lots of fun! Thanks Eugene for having fun with me there!!

We saw the flights of wonder & WOW!!! THIS bird could sing!!!

We even got lucky & saw “DeVine” in Asia & she really looks like a vine…neat!

The day was moving on so we headed to our Resort & ate an early supper. Then we got a bus to the airport & flew back in. Was a fun trip…hope you had fun traveling along with me in the photos.
