June 17th this year was our 25th year of being married & I wonder where the years went. How can you raise a family so quickly…it’s almost like if you stand still a moment you can watch the years zoom by! It’s been good though those years & we’ve sure been blessed! Suzanne & Jesse [Brianna & Lorien], Melissa, Kimberly & Phillip, & Dustin had us a small party in July. It was really nice & special. They got together a trip to Mackinac Island for us to take & them along with some of our family members sent us there. Was a really big surprise for us & a shock as we only agree to the party if it was a No Gifts deal!! However, this trip turned out to be one of the most wonderful ones we’ve ever taken. Mackinac Island is simply beautiful! Everything is slower there without any vehicles anywhere -just lots & lots of beautiful horses, buggies & bikes. You get to walk alot or you can catch a horse taxi anywhere in town. The water around the island is crystal clear & the Great Lakes remind me of the ocean. Is a dream world of beauty & so quiet & relaxing without any cars! The flowers are awesome & the weather unreal…this place is for sure part of Gods best Handiwork! Thanks bunches kids & everybody that took part in our trip…it was wonderful!

We took a carriage ride .Was awesome!
One buggy was pulled by 2 horses & one by 3 horses! Along the way we stopped at Arch Rock.
Then the butterfly house was next
And the horses are so cool!!Then next we went to tour & eat lunch at the Grand Hotel!
Notice the awesome sign! I love it. Women have to wear a Dress at the Grand after 6p.m. just like the old times! And notice the long front porch it is a really pretty sight!
Next we picked up our picnic basket & our bikes.

The scenery was awesome. Mackinac Island has lots of Gods handiwork on display wherever you look! The horses, seagulls, geese, chipmunks, butterflies & woodpeckers are so beautiful & we even saw a bat! The water is crystal clear & simply beautiful! I love never seeing a vehicle…this is a world one dreams about! Is totally awesome!! Thanks so much for memories we’ll cherish forever…we love ya’ll bunches & bunches!!

Daddy & Momma’s 50th Anniversary is September 27th & we had them a party abit in advance. It was alot of fun & many of their friends came. Was a honor for Norma Jean & me to put together a party to celebrate their 50 years together!! Am really blessed to have my Daddy & Momma! 50 years married !!!WOW!!
We made them a memory quilt & All the Family gave them a trip to Galveston.

Our whole bunch came to celebrate with Daddy & Momma. Took the photo with my automatic feature without a tripod so it turned out just ok.
Mayborn Museum
I went with Suzanne, Brianna & Lorien to the Mayborn Museum & the gals had a blast!
Next, the gals tried the big bubbles. Lorien loved it & did it again & again…while Brianna wasn’t too sure about them!
Then they floated their little boats with a duck in them down the water track. They loved that & raced their ducks over & over.
