We planned and counted the days till our vacation. We looked forward to it for ages and finally it was time to pack up and go. All too soon it was over and it was time to return home. We traveled lots of miles and saw lots of neat things. Hard to pick out my favorite things we did for we enjoyed every single bit of the trip. I guess the biggest highlights of the trip for me was our cabin we stayed at and the beautiful Smoky Mountain one way drive areas. I also really enjoyed Dollywood and President Andrew Jacksons homestead that we toured.
Come along on my vacation with me thru the photos below.
First we toured Graceland. First let me state we are not Elvis fans didn’t even know it was in Memphis when we started planning the trip. But as we were passing thru it looked like a neat place to tour. We all thought it interesting and enjoyed our stop. The house inside was definitely the 70’s style and rather ugly in parts of it. I took a photo of the music room which I thought was kind of neat looking.

Next we arrived at Nashville. We stayed in Hotel Preston which we pricelined for cheap. Was supposed to be the most “HIP” hotel in Nashville. The decorations were rather odd but was a really nice place to stay.
We Toured President Andrew Jackson, our 7th President, home and grounds. Was really a beautiful spot.

We shopped Opry Land Mall that afternoon and toured the Grand Ole Opry Museum. Then that night we went to the Grand Ole Opry. It was really neat. A singing group will come out and sing a couple of songs then the announcer will read off several commericals for a break. Is set up for the radio so there is no showing off just plain singing. One group, the Issacs, even sang one of their gospel songs without music..was neat!

Sunday morning found us at Church in TN. We found over 40+ members were off at the Young Peoples meeting or visiting elsewhere. Missed getting to see lots of those folks. Did see Candi’s cute baby though!
Then we were off to Kentucky and touring the Covette factory and Museum.

I liked this photo of Dustin. Is he wondering will I really drive one of these someday?!

Then we were off to the Smoky Mountains and our cabin.

We enjoyed the pool table and played lots of games.

This is the stairs down to the game room or you could go down the outside stairs.

Here’s the front porch. I started off each morning sitting in the porchswing enjoying the Smoky Mountains and the cool air while they all slept abit longer.

Here we are touring Cades Cove. It is a 11 mile one way drive thru the Smoky Mountains. We packed a lunch and just took our time. Saw lots of deer, turkey and beautiful scenery!

We went to Dollywood part of two days. Melissa and I enjoyed the shops and we all enjoyed the singing groups.

Rileys Aquarium was really neat. I liked the walkways thru the fish aquarium the best there.

Then we drove the 5 mile one way Roaring Forks Drive. Was simply beautiful by the mountain stream and temp. was about 77. But was a heavily traveled road so lots of traffic means no wildlife and we saw one deer only.

We saved Dixie Stampede for last as we’ve been lots of times and we all really like it. The food was good as usual, the horses beautiful and it’s just lots of fun. Our side, the South Lost! Our piggies ran slower, even our chickens were slower and lost their race! However, we got lots of laughs!

That’s All Folks!
LOOKS LIKE YOU ALL PACKED IN LOTS OF STUFF IN ONE SHORT WEEK…WAY TO GO!! ENJOYEDTHE PICS
