Dustin Got a Hog. My Grandkiddos Over For a Visit & a Woodpecker In Our Front Yard

I’m doing a combination of subjects all in one post again. I seem to have a few photos of each topic and I don’t get time to post for awhile.

We went to the deerlease monday night & Tuesday. It was cold! We were playing dominos in the camper about 2 that afternoon when Dustin looked out the window and said there goes some hogs. He got his gun & flew out of there. I really didn’t know he could move that fast. I looked out & saw them going across the end of the dam between the two tanks. Next thing I knew he shot & Hogs were flying back across the dam. I don’t know how many Hogs there were but Dustin got one of them. Him & Eugene were rather excited as they had never shot one before. It was an ugly thing! Hope it’s good eating as it is at the locker plant getting turned into sausage and pork chops. Yum, Yum!

Then here is a woodpecker that was in our frontyard

Then I kept the grandkiddos wednesday. The gals had fun decorating a mickey mouse brownie. Only thing is Brianna thought it looked more like minnie mouse so we put her a skirt on & she turned out cute!

This photo is blurry of Lorien But the only photo I have of Rohan that day so I’ll include it. He was too little to do our projects so he really didn’t like that very much!!

Next we made handprints. I found the idea in a magazine I read while I waited in a doctor office. You are supposed to do this at the beach on the seashore. However, I bought a bag of sand & put sand in a box. They make a handprint in the sand. Then you decorate the handprint with seashells [or whatever] I picked up my tiny shells at the beach at thanksgiving. After they decorate the handprint you pour plaster paris in the print & it sets up. Turned out neat & the gals liked doing it!

Here’s a few photos of Eugene & I from Disney. I got my CD from Disney in the other day.

That all for now!

Thanksgiving at the Coast

We spent Thanksgiving at the coast this year. Was simply beautiful weather with sunshine and in the upper 70’s or low 80’s. We stayed at Port Royal. Is nice being so close to the beach as Eugene & I could go on a 2 & 1/2 mile walk each morning along the sea shore while they all slept in.  Saturday morning we walked, came back & then went and fished at the jetty and two were still sleeping when we got back!

My favorite thing to do at the beach… feeding the seagulls. Always amazes me how you can find one bird & start feeding it & in a few seconds you have dozens all wanting to be fed.

And this is what they caught!!

Thanksgiving night we played putt-putt.

Some cool coast birds
