We celebrated Dustin’s 19th birthday Sunday with a big Mexican food meal & yummy desserts.

Presents are always a fun part of a birthday!

We took our first trip of the year to our zoo last week. It was Loralee’s first zoo visit & she loved the Fish & the Tiger. It was a beauty of a day & we ended up staying way longer than we planned. Even ate lunch there & their burgers & BQ sandwich’s & fries were pretty good. And the ice creams perfect to finish off the meal with!

Cloudcroft

We went to Cloudcroft, New Mexico for a few days over Spring Break. We’ve never traveled to Cloudcroft during March – usually always in December or early January. Was surprised at how much snow they had. It was simply beautiful!

On the way we stopped at Frontier Texas in Abilene.

We thought Kimberly would love this toothbrush…ugh!!

We saw lots of antelope, mule deer & turkeys on the drive there & back.

The Huge Windmills out there are so neat to watch.

After Church at Portales Sunday we drove on to Cloudcroft & our cabin. That’s quite a bit of snow in the yard!

It snowed the next day & we walked a long ways along the streets. Is kind of hard to see where the roads are because there was so much snow! SugarPine is the street our cabin was on & these are the roads we had to drive to get there!

Then we went sledding some…a little goes a long ways because the snow was so deep & we kept breaking though the snow walking back up the hill.

Then back to the cabin to thaw out!

Just some of the beauty spots around town that keeps us coming back over & over again.

Cloudcroft, New Mexico is simply beautiful! A perfect place to kick back & relax.

I love getting sweet rolls at the bakery in their little town. And eating at their small town cafes. And just a short drive away is the Ski Apache area & their cute town & yummy pizza at Case Rio. Eating there & Margo’s is aways on the list of “must do” things.

Hope ya’ll enjoyed looking at the photos of a winter wonderland. God sure does make lots of beautiful places for us to enjoy!

We celebrated my Momma’s birthday last week. The whole family got together & we enjoyed good company & yummy eats. Happy Birthday Momma -we love you bunches!!

WE really had Snow in Texas!!

It snowed this week in Texas & it was beautiful! It snowed all day long & the flakes were so pretty.

The robins gathered in the small areas that hadn’t any snow. There were dozens & dozens of them.

Tigger didn’t know what to think of the stuff!

Melissa & Snowball enjoy the snow.

It was beautiful along our walking/ 4 wheeler trail.

And then my family came over & we started to play.

We had to take some group photos.

Eugene & I with our 4 grandkiddos.

And then we built a snowman.

Brianna gets her first taste of snow ice cream. I think she liked it!!

Back in the house PawPaw & Loralee hang out together.

What a wonderfully fun day!!

Brianna had a piano recital last week. She looked so sweet & did a great job! She is a sweetheart to be blessed with for a granddaughter!!

Gingerbread Houses

We had so much fun the other day making Gingerbread Houses. I got a kit for Brianna & one for Lorien – I figured Rohan would just watch or help out. Hmmm..I figured wrong! He got into it & built a cracker house with Melissa’s help while the gals built theirs. We all had a blast helping them put these together!

Celebrated Daddy’s 75th birthday on Sunday. All the family together, good eats & gifts – can’t beat a deal like that!

Happy Birthday Daddy & Papaw – We love you bunches!!

Time sure flies – a few “days” back it was my kids helping & now it is my grandkiddos & my Daddy’s great-grandkiddos helping out!

San Antonio

We had a quick overnight trip to San Antonio. We were picking up Melissa at the airport in Austin & that made for a good excuse to stay on the Riverwalk & eat at Casa Rio.

We stayed right behind the Alamo.

Priceline was good to us as usual! Emily Morgan – old restored Hotel – very classy!

Casa Rio on the Riverwalk. The best Mexican Food anywhere & believe me I’ve ate at a bunch of them!

Came though Wimberly on the way back to Austin.

I love San Antonio & the Riverwalk area. We honeymooned here & ate at Casa Rio then & it is a favorite of mine.
